'A fragile peace' for Afghan women

Wednesday 03 September 2008

In "A fragile peace", American photographer Paula Bronstein brings us images of Afghanistan from 2001 to 2008, with a special emphasis on women and their often-difficult daily lives.

FRANCE 24 is a partner of the Visa pour l'Image International Festival of Photojournalism, which is taking place in Perpignan, in the south of France, until Sept. 14.

This year the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary, with an exceptional programme: over 30 exhibitions and nearly 18,000 photographs are on display over six evenings of viewings. Throughout the week, FRACE 24 will take you to meet the photographers and their images. Today, we meet Paula Bronstein, and discover her exhibition on Afghanistan.

You can also discover Marie Dorigny's exhibition on India's landless.
