By Charlotte LASSALLE - Sylvain LEPETIT (text)Every day, 500 new immigrants enter India's economic capital, Mumbai. They come looking for a better life. A man was beaten up because he's from Uttar Pradesh, a state in North India, an MNS victim. Last week, party activists had already attacked this slum where many immigrants have settled. Five people were killed. Today their families preferred to run away for fear of fresh attacks.
Other residents from the North live in fear. Today the MNS has about a hundred accusations registered against it… including two for murder. An aggressive campaign for one of Bombay's foremost political powers.
Be the first to react.
