Raul Castro named new president
Cuba's Raul Castro was nominated as president on Sunday, succeeding his brother Fidel Castro, who has retired after 49 years at the head of the communist state. Sophie Claudet reports on the reaction to his nomination in Miami.
Fidel Castro steps down
The Cuban leader told his citizens in a statement to the Communist Party's Granma newspaper that he will not return to power as the nation's head of state, a position he has held for 49 years since taking power in an armed revolution.
