With change comes opportunity

As Fidel steps down, the leadership and people of Cuba will embark on a new chapter in that country's history. Will it be "Fidelism" with someone else at the helm? Will it be communism, or something new entirely? It is up to the Cuban people to decide as it is their future.

I live in the USA (not Cuban) and it is also a time when the USA can and should decide on a new course in relations with Cuba. I hope the USA ends the unfortunate embargo and seeks a normalization of relations based on justice and mutual respect.

While I cannot agree with all that Fidel did, I respect him as a man of great intellect and ambition who acted sincerely on behalf of the Cuban people. I wish him peaceful days in the winter of his life.

Communism and Socialism the Ideology of a University drop out

As a devout Capitalist. I know in my Heart that private property laws are the best laws ever created in the Universe. To protect someones hard labour from the lazy butts. I am a mestizo which is part mexican and part english and part french. Im glad and can wait to see Castro die. His death will mean no more to me than the spider I killed today.Human nature would'nt and could'nt ever allow socialism or communism to ever work in a sociaty. They are parasitic type of economic systems. Communism or socialism cannot survive by its self it need a dictatorship or a capitalist system to suck some else hard labour to survive.I hope the Cuban people over throw that goverment and start a capitalist sociaty.
