UEFA have opened an investigation into allegations that Lyon supporters targeted Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo with a laser during the first leg of their Champions League clash last month.

UEFA have opened an investigation into allegations that Lyon supporters targetted Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo with a laser during their Champions League clash last month.
   
"The UEFA control and Disciplinary Committee will examine the case after evidence showed the use of a laser on players at the game," a UEFA statement said.
   
The case will be heard on March 20.
   
The game at Lyon's Gerland stadium on February 20 ended in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United winning the second leg 1-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.
