Latest update : 2008-03-23

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen won the Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday, finishing ahead of BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica and McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen, while Championship leader Lewis Hamilton crossed the line a disappointing fifth.

SEPANG - Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen won the Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday, with BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica second and McLaren's Heikki Kovalainen third.

World champion Raikkonen, who failed to finish the season-opening race in Australia last weekend, took the lead from team mate Felipe Massa after the first set of pitstops.

Massa's race ended on lap 31 when the Brazilian, who started on pole position, spun out at turn eight.

McLaren's championship leader Lewis Hamilton finished fifth behind Toyota's Jarno Trulli.
