A dedicated exhibition will focus on contemporary Arab artists as part of the Arte Paris art fair in the grandiose setting of the Grand Palais. (Report: J. Jackson)

One of the young artists featured in the "Crossing" exhibition is Mounir Fatmi (photo). He finds inspiration in architecture and questions the way we relate to images of 9/11.

 

"We're so far removed from reality that we thought we were watching a film. We don't manage to distinguish between real images and fictional images," Fatmi said.

The fair will go to Abu Dhabi, which bills itself as the Gulf's cultural capital, then on to Shenzhen in China.
