Latest update : 2008-04-10

Cult director Quentin Tarantino will give this year's Cinema Masterclass at Cannes. Tarantino is no stranger to the festival, as he headed the festival's jury in 2004 and last year his film "Death Proof" was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or.

Cult award-winning film director Quentin Tarantino is to give this year's Cinema Masterclass at Cannes, the world's premier film festival.

Tarantino, who took home the film fest's coveted Palme d'Or award in 1994 for "Pulp Fiction", also nominated for an Oscar, will tell film-lovers about his experiences both as film-maker and screenplay writer during the upcoming May 14 to 25 film extravanganza.

Last year's guest was Martin Scorsese, while Stephen Frears, Nanni Moretti, Wong Kar Wai and Sydney Pollack have all shared their experiences with festival-goers in past years.

Tarantino headed the festival's jury in 2004 and last year his film "Death Proof" was selected to compete for the festival's Palme d'Or.
