[While the US-led war in Iraq split the EU politically, with the soaring oil prices the EU does not intend to leave the country's massive resources to the United States alone to exploit.]
which means of course that...
...while France was unwilling to spend any blood and treasure to liberate Iraqi's (although 2 million ransom is of course "essential" if a luxury yaught is seized - the kidnappers won despite the lies and spin, some are free with most of the cash - there will now be more, best work anyone has had in Somalia since ooooh...) and remain unwilling to, you will of course be first in the queue for the Iraqi oil without missing a breath between the baseless accusation that you repeat above of the US "exploiting" Iraqi oil. The US is conspicuously ABSENT from ANY "exploitation" of Iraqi oil, yet Russian, Chinese, and Europeans are up to their filthy necks in the trough of Iraq oil. They gave NOTHING yet now without a blush you declare your rights. It sickens me,
I find this pice unusually offensive in your typically ignorant and vainglorious editorial. I hope Sarko shuts you down forthwith and consigns to you to the muck heap of everything that Chiraq ever did. Of course we must not forget that without Chiraq destroying any chance of peaceful resolution with his UN "never" (and Frances continuing support of Saddam pre war) there might never have been the Iraq war. A man without morals OR vision as your top businessman de Castries says, as if this is nothing unexpected! And now his and your worst nightmare is coming true. Free democratioc Iraq is emerging from the ashes. And they will soon look you in the eye and explain this period of history to you. Probably in Europe it will be yet another subject to add to the list of "things we did but dont talk about". Maybe you will have to tell even more lies in your childrens history books?
Civilisation? It may have started here, but it doesnt live in the cultural museum's of old Europe any more
