Africans must understand the root cause of this confilect as well as that of Darfour, because they are linked! the Sudanese government for many years (to be precise since 1980s) tried and still trying to drive black africans out of Darfur, and replace them with arab nomads from the deserted northren Sudan. Chad has a long border with Sudan (1200km), and as an african state has a duty to protect the defendless black africans from the genocide which is still being carried out by the arab dominated regime of Sudan and its Janjawide militias. Chad is hosting more than 1.5 million darfurians refugees which have been forced out of their country simply because they are not arabs, and now Sudan is planning to disstablise Chad so that they can be able to cross the border and finish off those refugees.
As for the Chadien rebels, well, they are no more than playing cards in the hands of Sudan's government. They have no public support whatsoever, no national agenda or vision for their country because all of the rebel leaders are former government officials and been part of the current government for more than 15 years!! what they are saying now about democracy and the rest of it is an absolute joke... if they are honest than they should not have served the (Chadien) government for 15 years, nonetheless, every chadien knows how rich they are, that why they lack support from the Chadien public.
They are paying the bills for the Sudanese government, and also trying to remind the world that they are exist and nothing more than. As for attacking the capital I very much doubt that not even in their dreams, well, at least for now. Togou
