Marion Cotillard and 'Borat', new Oscar voters

French actress Marion Cotillard and "Borat" creator Sacha Baron Cohen are part of the list of 105 people invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Academy said Monday.

By AFPCotillard, a popular winner at this year's Oscars for her startling portrayal of Edith Piaf in "La Vie En Rose," was among seven actors asked to join the ranks of the Academy's voting membership.
Other actors included "No Country for Old Men" star Josh Brolin, who will reappear in cinemas later this year as President George W. Bush in Oliver Stone's "W," Chinese martial arts icon Jet Li and British actor Ray Winstone, most recently seen in the fourth "Indiana Jones" film.
Other new members included Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody, the respective director and screenwriter of Oscar-winning comedy "Juno."
"These individuals are all incredibly talented and a credit to the world of filmmaking," said Academy President Sid Ganis in a statement.
"They exemplify the high standards of the Academy and I welcome each and every one of them to our ranks."
The new member take the Academy's ranks to nearly 6,000.
