For you to choose: a field of crickets or a sky full of stars. Feet in the grass or in water. Music, food, theatre, film, and photography will shine in their many forms all summer long. Here are our recommended festivals.

FRANCE 24 will be in Fes, Casablanca, Chaumont-sur-Loire, Petra, Jerash, Montreux, Reims, Marciac and Saint-Céré bringing you sights, sounds, and memories— and maybe ideas to tempt you for next year !

A few festivals to follow Check our schedule for French and international 'not-to-be-missed' festivals. FRANCE 24 will be covering them all through the summer.

Saint-Céré showcases young singers The Saint-Céré festival in France offers a much needed platform for young opera singers to sell their trade. With opera companies few and far between, young singers are finding it increasingly hard to kick-start their careers.

Omar and Dee Dee's African voyage Both in search of their African roots, Cuban pianist Omar Sosa and American singer Dee Dee Bridgewater shared the bill at the Jazz in Marciac Festival. France 24 presents a portrait of two artists.

Jimmy Cliff sets southern France alight The Jamaican star of ska, reggae and ragga took the crowd by storm at the “Nuits du Sud” festival in the southern French town of Vence. We met the author of “Reggae Night” to talk about his current filmmaking project.
