USA-Russia: back to the Cold War?
The war in Georgia has greatly strained the relations between Russia, the United States and the European Union. Could we be heading back to the Cold War? (Part 1 of 2)

What are the real consequences of the conflict in the Caucasus?

World leaders are scrambling to regain some semblance of peace in the region, as well as political balance in the world, with the war between Russia and Georgia further straining Russia's relationship with the West.

Troubled ties are good for neither side, as Russia provides crucial energy supplies to Europe and holds veto power on the UN security council.

So can diplomatic efforts repair the damage that's been done between Georgia, Russia, Western Europe and the United States?
