Far from Gandhi, a tribute to India's landless
In the photo exhibition "Far from Gandhi" at the Visa Pour l'Image festival, photographer Marie Dorigny takes a look at India's landless, sixty years after the assassination of the Indian leader.
FRANCE 24 is a partner of the Visa pour l'Image International Festival of Photojournalism, which is taking place in Perpignan, in the south of France, until Sept. 14. This week, we have come up with a selection of some of the exhibits on show at this important photojournalism gathering.
This year the festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary, with an exceptional programming: over 30 exhibitions and nearly 18,000 photographs are on display over 6 evenings of viewings. Throughout the week, FRANCE 24 will be taking you to meet the photographers and their images. Today, we meet Marie Dorigny, and discover her exhibition on India's landless.
