'Inside Iraq' with US troops

Latest update : 2008-09-05

Photographer Yuri Kozyrev spent five years in Iraq working for Time magazine. Presented at Perpignan's photojournalism festival, his exhibit "Inside Iraq" pictures the everyday lives of US soldiers.

France 24 is a partner of the Visa pour l'Image International Festival of Photojournalism, which is taking place in Perpignan, in the south of France, until Sept. 14. This week, we have come up with a selection of some of the exhibits on show at this important photojournalism gathering.

This year the festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary, with an exceptional programming: over 30 exhibitions and nearly 18,000 photographs are on display over 6 evenings of viewings. Throughout the week, France 24 will be taking you to meet the photographers and their images.

You can also discover Paula Bronstein's exhibition on women in Afghanistan or Marie Dorigny's exhibition on India's landless.
