McCain bid picks up speed? (Part 2)
In this edition, we're talking about the Republican Convention. As McCain accepts his party's nomination, does
Palin give the candidate's campaign the boost it needed?
Tonight as the race for the White House heats up. We're talking about the Republican Convention.
In just a few hours John McCain will step onto the stage in St Paul Minnesota. He'll accept his party's presidential nomination.
Eight years after his last shot at the top job failed. And after eight years of an unpopular Bush presidency which has hit Republicans hard. If McCain wins, it'll be a first. He'll become the oldest man to be elected to a first term as president.
But this campaign has been all about firsts. And not just on the Democratic side.
Sarah Palin is the Republican's first female vice presidential nominee. She's already addressed the convention.
Portraying herself as a outsider who will help McCain bring change to Washington.
