Is the French education model failing? It's a question being asked across this country as the government considers reforms to make the French school system more effective. On the table now are proposals ranging from cutting teacher numbers in primary schools to increasing instruction of the English language. We'll be getting an international perspective on French education, its strengths and weaknesses, and we'll find out how it compares to foreign counterparts.

Andrea Sanke's guests are:

Andreas Schleicher, head of the IA division at the education directorate of the OECD.

Harriet Welty Rochefort, journalist and author, teacher at Paris's Institute of Political Sciences, or Sciences Po.

Muriel Fitoussi, a journalist and author specializing in French society and culture.

Clayton McCleskey, a special contributor to the Dallas Morning News, familiar with European education.
