What I want to know is why does an American of a French spouse have to pay 275EU and someone comming in from somewhere like say oh Algeria gets it for free for the first year and after is awarded automatically a card for 10 years?
And another question, why arent immigrants aprised of their rights as french immigrants?,I am currently in the proccess of getting my card and not one single time has ANYONE spoke to me about my rights?
and these rights arent posted anywhere either that I could locate
Why are the rules different according to /nationality?
As I said,I am currently going through the proccess of aquiring my card and possibly my citizenship,I would like to report on the matter for France24 if they are interested in my experience

Mixed nationality couples
It is strange that this is such an issue within the EU. Shared currency, shared labor pool, why not shared private lives?
