Tonight: the election and the economy. Disaster on Wall Street and the decline of major financial institutions means focus and tones are changing in the US presidential election campaign. We'll be debating which candidate is best equipped to win over the electorate with his financial rescue plans.

Andrea Sanke's guests are: Marc Porter, a Member of Republicans Abroad France and a Professor of Marketing and Communication at the Paris Higher Institute of Commerce, or IPAG; Zachary Miller, Chair of the Minority caucus at Democrats Abroad France; Nicholas Dungan, President of the French American Foundation. And via satellite from Washington DC: Diana Furchtgott Roth, a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute and former chief economist for the U.S. Department of Labor under George W. Bush.
