The Debate's subject  tonight is the aftermath of the decision by the US House of Representatives to vote against the government's $700 dollar bailout plan. President George W. Bush warned Tuesday that the US economy faced a critical moment and that the consequences would be painful and lasting if Congress could not be persuaded to pass the deal.
