Deaths mounts after flash floods
At least 29 people have been killed and scores injured after heavy rain on Wednesday in the southern Ghardia region of Algeria, south of the capital.
Flash floods in Algeria have killed at least 29 people and injured 84, state radio reported on Thursday.
Wednesday's floods followed incessant rain in the Ghardaia region, about 600 kilometres (375 miles) south of Algiers.
Interior Minister Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni said earlier that 13 people had been killed and up to 600 homes had been damaged.
