Spanish NBA stars, Pau Gasol and his younger brother Marc, have dubbed parts of Disney's latest "High School Musical" movie into Spanish, the study said Monday ahead of its weekend release in Spain.
Pau, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, and Marc, of the Memphis Grizzlies, lent their voices to a scene where the the fictional East High basketball team, the Wildcats, play a key match, it said in a statement.
"It was difficult. You have to get used to it, get into the role. It was not easy," Marc, who joined Memphis in July, told Spanish media.
The first two movies detail the loves and lives of a singing, dancing band of teenagers aired to a record number of viewers on The Disney Channel and the screen version is expected to clean-out at the box-office.
"High School Musical 3: Senior Year" is due for release in 35 countries between October and February.
Advance ticket sales in Britain, where the film opens Wednesday, two days before its debut in Spain and the United States, have already broken records set by "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" in 2005.
