Every times we hear or see the news on TV, we get the side of the Sinhalese Government of Sri Lanka and from the opposing side. In all fairness, we should first of all stay neutral, and weigh the pros and cons of the situation on the island of Serendeep.
To know the truth of how the Tamil minority was murdered and oppressed by the Sinhalese majority is to face the truth. In 1958, the Sinhalese majority took to the streets of Colombo and began the massacre of the Tamils. In that time the world was not aware of the brutality of the Sinhalese and treated the siuation as a mere riot. It was not a riot but an attempt by the Sinhalese to wie out the Tamil minority, and both the Army and Police took an active part in that massacre. At first the Tamils were helpless, but finally that had had enough and began to fight back. Of course the Sinhalese Government immediately blamed the Tamils for fighting back, but never told the REAL story to the world. The Buddhist Sinhalese Government of Sri Lanka was actually persecuting the Tamils who were in the main Hindus, but that was never revealed to the the world, hence we get only one side of the story. The Sri Lankan Government will not permit outside observers into their country for the semple reason, they will expose the fraud now being played by the government.
