Special Report   The US election seen from Iraq

Tuesday 04 November 2008

During the last five years the Christian Iraqi population has shrunk significantly. Victims of violent attacks, kidnappings and murders, this minority has paid a particularly heavy price in the civil war.

In Baghdad, which used to be home to an important Christian community, the churches are almost empty. But a few brave members of the congregations still show up every Sunday.

Watch the special report from Karrada, in the center of Baghdad, by FRANCE 24's Lucas Menget and Guillaume Martin by clicking on 'play'.
