Paris Saint Germain rushed into the quarter-finals of the French League Cup after a 2-0 win over Nancy in the Parc des Princes stadium. Struggling Le Havre upset Rennes during injury time. All the quarter-final ties are set for January 13.

Peguy Luyindula's double fired holders Paris St Germain into the quarter-finals of the French League Cup on Wednesday after a 2-0 victory over Nancy.

PSG now face Racing Lens in the last eight, the club they beat in last season's final.

Luyindola scored his first goal on the half-hour from a pass by Mateja Kezman and netted his second six minutes later.

In Wednesday's other fourth round game, Le Havre won their all-Ligue 1 tie against Stade Rennes 2-1 thanks to a penalty converted by Jean-Michel Lesage in extra time. Le Havre now face Nice.

On Tuesday, seven-times French champions Olympique Lyon were knocked out by second-division Metz.

All the quarter-final ties will be played on January 13.
