'Euromobile' is the name of a van on a mission. The vehicle is travelling around Slovakia, informing people in small towns about the euro, which will replace the Slovak crown from January 1st.  A team has been giving presenations on the currency and distributing information, presents and leaflets. The audience specifically targeted by this campaign sponsored by the Slovak government is the less well off and the elderly.

The crisis and its consequences could have an unexpected effect in Slovakia: slowing the inflation usually caused by euro adoption. And for politicians as well as for economists, the current global crisis is one more argument - and a big one - in favour of the euro.
