Gaza's tunnels

When Sari Nusseibah stated that the tunnels in Gaza were there because Gaza was blockaded, why didn't the interviewer ask him why they were used to bring in weapons and explosive instead of food, medical supplies and other humanitarian needs of the people? The munitions the Palestinians smuggled in were for rocketing/terrorizing civilians in Israel. The reason for the blockade was solely because the Hamas wanted the border crossings free of any control so they could bring in these offensive weapons without the tunnels.
