Sea Change for Black America?

In my opinion, the greatest change for "Black America" is a new sense of confidence, on a personal basis, of truly belonging to public life in this country. Obama's presidency is an affirmation for not only African Americans but for all Americans, regardless of ethnic identity. I believe in some ways white Americans and black Americans are looking at one another with new awareness right now. The status quo has been rocked. I hope we maintain this cohesive attitude.

With regard to Obama's ability to make major policy changes, this depends entirely on the willingness of the other branches of government to cooperate, approve or deny. The American president does not have absolute power. However, many of the changes that should be made in America can be brought about by individuals and their beliefs about one another.

We love this guy!
