Alternatives to public transport

If you don’t live too far from your work, this is the perfect opportunity to burn some calories by riding a bicycle, a scooter or skateboard. Our advice, check the weather preview before heading out. You can also choose to share a ride with someone who owns a car and travels in the same direction as you: www.Covoiturage.fr, www.Covoiturage.com, www.123envoiture.fr.

For Parisians, Vélib - the city's new rent-a-bicycle-by-the-hour service - will be a precious ally, but it might be hard to find one! (www.velib.paris.fr).
