Double gold as Vonn snaps up downhill and super-G
US speed queen Lindsey Vonn added to her super-G win at Val d'Isere by grabbing a second world title in the donwhill contest on Monday. Young Swiss skier Lara Gut (17) won the silver medal.

AFP - American speed queen Lindsey Vonn struck double gold here on Monday when she won the women's downhill at the World Ski Championships to add to her Super-G title.
  
The leader in the World Cup overall standings clocked 1min 30.31sec down the 2,227-metre-long Rhone-Alpes course.
  
Swiss teenager Lara Gut showed that the silver she won in the super combined was no fluke by claiming second place, 0.52sec adrift of Vonn, while Italian Nadia Fancini claimed bronze a further five-hundredths off the pace
