PM replaces drunken finance minister
Finance minister Shoichi Nakagawa resigned after outrage over his drunken appearance at a G7 news conference in Rome. Economics minister Kaoru Yosano (pictured) has been appointed by PM Taro Aso to take on the portfolio.

appointed Economics Minister Kaoru Yosano as finance minister on
Tuesday, shortly after previous minister Shoichi Nakagawa
resigned.
"Since we are in the middle of discussing the budget,
Economics Minister Yosano will take over the job of minister for
finance as well as financial services," Aso told reporters.
