From the crisis to civil wars?
Beware: one crisis can easily hide another. A highly respected think tank warns of massive social and civil unrest in areas that have been badly affected by the financial crisis. Will consumer societies turn on themselves?

What about the Great Depression? Where were the fascists then?
The US has been in this situation before: a big economic collapse due to the policies of a neo-liberal style president. It was called the Great Depression and it happened under the Republican Herbert Hoover. Considering that both the governments that caused the Great Depression and the current crisis were on the political right themselves makes me doubt that there will be extreme right, fascist movements arising in the United States. In the 30s, people flocked to the politically left FDR and now they're flocking to Obama.

What sickens me to my stomach is the constant idiotic reference to "poor white people" by Rick Macarthur. Sir, this crisis is global and it affects every human being on planet earth, which apparently you are not aware of, is not uni-colour as might think. People of every hue are being retrenched where I live in the US. All are angry at the government for what is a visible hijacking of the government by the bankers, who have been bailed out using the poor taxpapers' money. I never heard that it was the "poor white people" taxpayers'' money! . So stop this idiotic and sickening reference. Why don’t you listen to the man from Leap 2020, or the other panelists who see the issue affecting everyman on earth? Geez man, please!
The revolution that is coming is not because of “poor white people” affected. Everyone in the in all the continents will be affected. Humanity as a whole is in trouble, not just "poor white people!"
