An explosion believed to be caused by a gas canister shook a welding workshop in the southern Turkish resort city of Antalya on Saturday, injuring six people in the vicinity, according to a local press agency .

REUTERS - An explosion believed to be caused by a gas canister shook a workshop in the southern Turkish resort city of Antalya on Saturday, injuring six people, state-run Anatolian news agency reported.

 

Two of the injured were seriously hurt in the blast at the lathe and welding workshop on an industrial estate in the city when a gas canister or boiler exploded, the agency said.

 

The explosion also caused damage to neighbouring buildings and a nearby taxi, it said.
