Frederic Michalak returns to face Italy

Toulouse star Frederic Michalak has been called up by French coach Marc Lievremont to face Italy after Sebastien Tillous-Borde pulled out due to injury. The 50-capped player hasn't played for France since the failed 2007 world cup semi-final.

AFP - Toulouse star Frederic Michalak earned his first call-up to the France squad since the 2007 World Cup when he replaced scrum-half Sebastien Tillous-Borde, who pulled out injured on Monday for their final Six Nations match with Italy.

The 26-year-old - capped 50 times and who can play either at scrum-half or fly-half - moved to South Africa to play for the Sharks last year and had failed to regain favour with present France coach Marc Lievremont since returning to play for Toulouse.

France will be bidding to bounce back from the 34-10 drubbing they received at the hands of England in Sunday's Six Nations match.
