Water in crisis

The guest apologizes to host for misinterpreting a question

When asked about intentions to "halve the population" of those who do not have access to water, I misunderstood. I thought that Mr. Parsons alluded to many neo-Malthusian experts, & extreme environmentalists for whom the magic solution is to reduce the entire population of poor countries. I now realize I was meant to discuss projects by which half of the people lacking H2O would obtain easy access to the resource. Thus their (not the regions’) number can, I agree, diminish by 50%. However, given the influence of neo-Malthusians in the West, or the 1-child policies & sterilization campaigns & their disastrous effects on Asia, I thought I was to comment on those. I apologize for the misunderstanding but maintain my attacks on malthusianism as inefficient & counter-productive since it even generates paranoia (& even fear of genocide) among the non-Western populations that the West wants to reduce drastically while maintaining its own lifestyle.
