In the remote Swat valley, Pakistani authorities have allowed Islamist radicals to apply Sharia as the law of the land.

Both men in this report were condemned to death for the murder of a taxi driver. Two members of the driver's family were allowed to shoot them. They missed the target several times before, eventually, succeeding in their sordid task.

A crowd gathered around the bodies as people were encouraged to watch the execution; a gruesome warning to those tempted to break the law.
