And what is the DRC getting in return?
There is absolutely no transparency here and what exactly is the DRC getting out of this deal remains a mystery? They're solely allowing the French to get all these minerals out at a time when they could play the French and Chinese against each other to get more for the DRC who needs the development most. At least, the Chinese are building hospitals and roads, and the French... It's the same old paternal attitude towards Africans
