it is ironic that someone who preaches celibacy should instruct people on the issues of safe sex! the catholic church has caused and is causing poverty and disease on a massive level, all because they want THEIR breeding programme to continue.
are we 100% sure that condoms are 100% efficient against Aids virus ? i had once a girlfriend who asked me to put on 2 condoms to have safer sex.... i guess she is not the only one in this world to have some doubts....
Church is yet again trying to pull us back into the Middle Ages. Pope should apologize for interfering with things he does not really understand, instead of jeopardizing medical efforts ad endagering human lives on a huge scale.
The ever so forward looking Catholic church is yet again trying to enlighten the world with their moralizing opinions that are without regard for human life. The message they are trying to send is have sex with only one person your whole life and make sure you have lots of Catholic babies in the process. Of course, this is ludicrous and completely ignores human impulses. What is worse, it thoroughly undermines years of work by health officials and puts peoples' lives at risk. It is curious that the personal protection of condoms should be discounted by someone who insists on traveling in an armored car. Don't worry, Benedict will protect you!
