Air France-KLM strikes commercial deal with Brazil's GOL
Air-France-KLM and Brazil's second biggest airline, GOL, have begun a commercial partnership that paves the way for future code-shares and possible integration of the companies' mileage programmes.
AFP - Brazil's low-cost airline GOL and premier European air transport venture Air France-KLM have begun a commercial partnership that lays the groundwork for future code-shares, the companies said Friday.
The agreement will also allow for the integration of Brazil's second biggest airline GOL and Air France-KLM's mileage programs, they said in a statement.
The agreement allows Air France-KLM to compete with German rival Lufthansa, a stakeholder of the largest Brazilian airline TAM.
Air France-KLM operate a vast network out of its main hubs at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris and Schiphol airport in Amsterdam.
