Sharia Law Vs Democracy

The media today is having an attitude of demonizing Sharia law and patronizing Democracy, this attitude is sliding us deeper into problems. Will shying away from the following questions give us any solutions.
the wise way would be to take it head on and have an open debate on the Sharia Law Vs Democracy.

* Are the people just being misguided by the governments?
* Are we unduely demonizing Sharia law and unduely patronizing Democracy?
* How will the Sharia law doom the world or does it have solutions to current crisis?
* How is 'freedom for woman" defined?
* Which law gives more rights & justice to woman?
