One can wonder what's next: intimidation of foreign diplomats, brutal killings imputed to the victims themselves, arrests by hooded (?!) militaries, storming in homes, chasing protestors throughout neighborhoods and alleys, throwing tear gas on hospital ground, allegations of diversion of staple goods from private businesses, allegations of interception of money transfers to the Central bank, arrests at the High Constitutional Court, and the list goes on and on. And the international press that was so fond of Rajoelina keeps its stand: not much transpires now that missteps are multiplying.
And where is Rajoelina anyway? He is not heard of , nor seen locally. His wife and children have already left to France. Who is holding Madagascar hostage? Whoever who is holding Madagascar as hostage needs to let it go for the sake of 20 millions innocent civilians. People deserve to live freely, with respect of basic Human Rights: human dignity and safety.
