Today is the day for Roger Federer, competing in his fourth consecutive French Open final, and for Swedish player Robin Söderling, ranked 25th world-wide and entering his first Grand Slam final.

Federer has won all nine of his matches against Söderling, and is seasoned by the high stakes and intense pressure of his career thus far. But Söderling, who knocked out Rafael Nadal in the fourth round of this year’s tournament, has had an impressive run. Moreover, he comes into the match as an outsider – the one with nothing to lose in this unusual final.
