The South African Airways Flight 295 crash into the Indian Ocean near Mauritius on 28 November 1987 and the recorders of the 747 were recovered a year after the crash. The investigators searched unsuccessfully with sonar for the wreckage for two months. Then a specialist deep ocean recovery team from the USA was contracted to find the site and recover the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder from 5km water. They finally recovered the CVR and the FDR two days after the team from the USA started their search .I think that the investigators must use the Nautile submarine the same way the South Africans use the U.S. submarine. For more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_Airways_Flight_295.

If a plane flying at 500 MPH approx, at 35000 ft suddenly loses power, or systems and control, it would only take 45 seconds to hit ground zerro. Not long enough to prepare. But why was there no SOS? And surely, in this 21st century, having found parts of the debris, we should be able to backtrack and locate the rest of the fuselage. God rest their souls.

Astounding conclusion

How does this explain the lack of an SOS message, unless one assumes that the flight crew thought that they were in level flight?
