A recent experience with an Indian friend was enough to convince me of the duplicity and hypocrisy of some Indian parents. Every kid is supposedly 'boxed in' to create a communal hype about certain professions - if someone so much as even attempts to take a different path - everyone around them pulls them back into the 'box'. Secondly, the education system in India is in total shambles - corruption and red tape has bound the 'government education system'. Graduates of such establishments often lack the foundations to go further beyond.
Pressure or no pressure: India's so called and media hyped 'boom' only affects the rich, the poverty line still dips well below the line of duplicity. India's 'culture' of 'preferred professions' could be a recipe for an unemployment disaster in the near future.
