Bouygues Telecom to end sponsorship in 2010
After six years of sponsorship, French company Bouygues Telecom will be leaving the world of cycling in 2010. Bouygues won just one stage of the Tour de France when Frenchman Pierrick Fedrigo prevailed in Gap back in 2006.

REUTERS - Bouygues Telecom <BOUY.PA> will end their cycling sponsorship at the end of 2010, an official with the mobile phone company said on Sunday.

 

"It will be six years we have been in cycling, it's a long period of time. We will stop but we will try and find them a co-sponsor for next season," Thibaut Chatelard, Bouygues Telecom sponsorship director, told Reuters before the start of the Tour de France second stage.

 

Bouygues Telecom have one stage win in the Tour with Frenchman Pierrick Fedrigo prevailing in Gap in 2006.
