More than 150 relatives of victims of the Yemenia crash in the Indian Ocean will head from France to the Comoros on a specially chartered flight, the French foreign ministry has said.

AFP - More than 150 relatives of victims of the Yemenia crash in the Indian Ocean are to head Monday from France to the Comoros on a specially chartered flight, the French foreign ministry said.

Chartered by Yemenia but provided by the French company Blue Line, the flight will leave from Paris, with a stopover in Marseille where many of the crash victims came from, and will carry the families free of charge.

They will be accompanied by the Comoran ambassador to Paris and a French government liaison officer appointed to handle relations with the large Comoran community, which counts some 80,000 people in Marseille alone.

The Yemenia Airbus A310 plunged into the sea with 153 people on board as it came in to land at Moroni airport on June 30. A 12-year-old girl is the only survivor of the disaster.

Emergency teams from France, United States, Comoros and Yemen have been searching for the wreckage and victims' remains.

Analysis is under way to determine whether 22 bodies that washed up on the shores of a Tanzanian island are from the victims of the doomed Yemenia Airbus.
