Stephane Mbia leaves Rennes for Marseille

Olympique Marseille have signed 23-year-old Cameroon midfielder Stephane Mbia for 12 million euros in their third major signing this summer.

REUTERS - Cameroon midfielder Stephane Mbia completed a 12-million-euro ($17 million) move from Stade Rennes to fellow Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille on Monday.

 

"Mbia has passed the medical tests and signed a four-year contract," a Marseille spokesman said.

 

The 23-year-old Mbia is Marseille's third international recruit of the close season after Argentina midfielder Lucho Gonzalez and Senegal defender Souleymane Diawara.
