Obama earmarks $1.8 billion for fight against pandemic
US President Barack Obama has designated more than $1.8 billion in emergency funds to fight a pandemic of influenza A(H1N1), or swine flu. The money will mainly go toward producing vaccines and helping plan immunisation campaigns.
