Russia accused of 'penetrating into Georgian territory'
It is fine to respect the rights of people truly wanting independence and recognition. However, this should not be done at the expense of others. Russia is using South Ossetia and Abkhazia as a way to further it's influence over Georgia and other former soviet countries. Russia's goals are not human rights and self determination here. Personally, the west could recognize South Ossetia and Abkhazia, but only after Russian troops withdraw and borders are determined in a peaceful manner. If Russia continues it's provocative moves however, recognition should be halted and action taken.

Lets show we have intelligence in the west,we spout about people wanting thier rights ,well south ossettia wanted to be reconised to russia ,thru its people ,who by the way are russsian or have been for yonks under its customs and habits..so the conclusion ,get educated and respect people's rights of south ossettia.
