It is sad that this man has defied every advice and has gone ahead with the referendum. It is a very sad day for the people of Niger and a great set back on Africa's democracy. I am sorry for my continent that there is no one at the Africa Union it stop this madness. How can we develop if some few people hijack our right to choose who should lead us? Mobutu, Omar Bongo, Lansana Conte, Gaddafi, Hosni Mubarak, Obiang Nguema, Denis Sassou Nguesso, dos SANTOS, Yahyah Jammeh and now Mamadou Tandja why?
